The Philippines is home to a staggering number of children who live on the streets. Faced with a multitude of every day challenges, many stop schooling. Some have taken on the task of encouraging the children to dream big for themselves and their families. These are the life and times of a volunteer tutor in the Philippines.

Tutorials resume June 15th!
We invite you to make a difference in a young person's life! Meet the He Cares Mission Scholars who come from challenged urban communities. Teach them for a while, inspire them for a lifetime!
We teach elementary school children basic English and Math. The more you come, the more they learn! The more they learn, the more they will stay in school and be able to graduate!
Join us on:
Tuesdays (8:30 am to 11am and/or 2 to 4 pm)
Wednesdays (8:30 am to 11am and/or 2 to 4 pm)
Thursdays (8:30 am to 11am and/or 2 to 4 pm)
Fridays (8:30 am to 11am and/or 2 to 4 pm)
Saturdays (1-3pm)
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be 21 years old or older
• Only for Tuesdays to Fridays tutorials - Must be able to come at least 2x a week - we have found that the weekday children are in more need of a stable relationship with their voluntutors. For the weekday morning sessions, we have Grade 4 to 11 children and for the afternoon session, we have Grade 6 and 10 children and 3 preschoolers. Please consider volunteering on a weekday as we usually need more volunteers then.
